Our Fresh-Milled Baking Philosophy

Each grain has its own story — nutty, earthy, floral, sweet — flavors that bloom in the oven. At Silo and Stone, we mill each kernel fresh, as it was in ancient days — stone-ground, unhurried and alive with the oils and nutrients God placed within.

We believe bread should be more than a product. It should be a prayer of thanks, a return to the way God meant food to be: whole, humble, and good. It’s nourishment you can feel — honest, alive, and made with intention.

The work of our hands is a continuation of the oldest story — the story of provision, of blessing, of daily bread.

In the beginning, God created the earth to bring forth seed — wheat for bread, and hands to work the harvest. From that gift comes our calling.

At Silo and Stone, we honor the goodness of creation by returning to the grain as God made it: whole, living, and full of life.

We mill fresh from the field, bake with care, and offer what we make in gratitude — that others might be nourished in both body and spirit. We believe bread is sacred work. Each loaf tells the story of provision — seed to soil, soil to hand, hand to table — a daily reminder that all we have comes from the Giver.

Our vision is simple: To keep that story alive and to make bread that reflects God’s creation, abundance, and grace — one loaf at a time.

“Give us this day our daily bread.” At Silo and Stone, we take those words literally — and joyfully.

We believe that fresh-milled ingredients create breads and baked goods that nourish your body for long-lasting health
